Renting A Car In Benidorm Spain
by Johnathan Bakers
It is not difficult to find Benidorm car hire services, since the city is such a popular tourist destination. It is, actually, one of the most popular vacation areas in the Costa Blanca region of Spain. There are over twenty national and international car hire companies operating out of Benidorm. You can pick your car up from a company in Benidorm or at the Alicante Airport. If you are flying into the Alicante Airport, it would probably be the most convenient to get it directly from the airport but the prices may vary so do not hesitate to consider a Benidorm company. There is always the option of taking a bus to Benidorm or arranging for someone from the Benidorm company to pick you up at the airport.
Whatever you decide, be sure to compare the rates, packages and any hidden fees for each company. You can compare prices through a variety of different sources, including car hire companies directly, travel agents or the internet. Do your research and reserve your car before leaving home to get the best deal and, more importantly, confirm that a car is available. Rental cars book quickly, especially during the summer season. Do not overlook the advertised weekly rates when comparing packages. Even though you may only need the car for four days, for example, you may find that a weekly rate is less expensive than the separate, compounded daily rate.
Additional costs and hidden fees in a car rental agreement can add up quickly. Do not hesitate to ask questions and be sure to read the fine print in the agreement. A little time spent before committing could help you avoid costly fees. Some packages are inclusive and could save you some money, but knowing what is and is not included in your agreement is very important. Insurance is one additional cost that adds a substantial amount to the entire cost of the car rental. This insurance covers any damage to the car while in your possession and, in most cases, is an additional cost.
Mileage is another hidden fee that you should consider when researching car hire companies and comparing packages. Some packages offer unlimited mileage while others limit the number of miles and charge for any additional miles driven. Always ask the company specifically and, again, read the agreement closely. If you intend to travel throughout the region, you should probably opt for unlimited mileage.
The return time for the car is another important matter to consider. Some companies operate on a twenty-four hour day rate and, if so, returning the car later than the designated time can result in additional charges. Along the same lines of returning the vehicle, always inquire about gas charges. Some companies will charge an additional fee if the car is returned with less than a full tank of gas. This charge can sometimes be much higher than the price of gas. It is best to simply return the car with a full tank to avoid any additional service charges.
